Brenda Wheeler was a guest for the evening along with 25 members. The program for the meeting was to be our district director, Becky Hawkins, but she was unable to attend due to a death in the family. Reporting for the district was the assistant director, Donna Astin. Information about the fall conference to be held in Columbus on Oct. 14-16 was discussed. WWMD

WWMD is a volunteer program which helps the members of INFBPW/Crawfordsville donate items to different organizations in Crawfordsville and Montgomery County.  This is a pilot program for the year 2010-2011   Donated items will be brought to a meeting and they will be taken to the appropriate place the next day. Lists of needed items for a meeting will be passed out at the meeting prioir to it.  And we may do a mass emailing to our members two weeks…

Main Street At the August meeting, Judy North of Crawfordsville Main Street, assisted by Kara Edie, explained their program. It began in 1999 as the Downtown Revitaliztion committee and became Crawfordsville Main Street in 2002. They are the “only advocate for this district,” Judy reported. The organization sponsored the development of the Marie Canine Plaza and the Freedom Clock Plaza.
