2013 March Meeting

It finally looks like we will be having our first meeting of 2014! What a winter it’s been. We have accomplished quite a bit via phone, emails and mini meetings. We had great weather for our Mid-Winter Blues Craft & Flea Market and based on what we’ve been asked it may just happen again next year. It was great to get out and see people to exchange ideas, get reacquainted with our neighbors and sit down and share a meal and some sweet treats. We are going to have an excellent program that has been postponed since January & February (more…)

Indiana Working Woman Recognition Award

At its November meeting, INFBPW/Crawfordsville presented its Indiana Working Woman Recognition Award to two very worthy individuals, Sasha Clements and Debbie Schavietello by the IWWRM Chair, Betty Munro. Both work full time at Tipmont REMC and have done so for a number of years. Both their mothers had breast cancer. At that time they found little support for breast cancer victims. Both families felt like they had to go through this experience alone. After searching around for some time to find a support system, Debbie and Sasha decided if one was to be started they needed to start it themselves. (more…)

Salad Luncheon

Did you know that for many years the primary fundraiser for this club was a salad luncheon? The club made lots of chicken casseroles and the members brought in salads. Tickets were sold and it was held in the 4-H building. After years of cooking and washing dishes, the club decided to look to other ways of raising money! Make your own Chicken Casserole: 1 pound cooked chicken, cut into small pieces 8 slices white bread, cubed 1/2 stick butter, melted 1/2 can cheddar cheese soup 1 egg 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, chopped 1 1/2 cups chicken broth and (more…)
